Surabaya, Indonesia Trip

FuyOh~ The GREATEST one has COME BACK! Anyone MISSING me? ... For what I asked such a question since the answer is so obvious.

You all are MISSING me heap!

It was a great trip to Surabaya, Indonesia. Hereby, I'll just do a short post about Surabaya.

My friend who managed to bought MAS Airline ticket cost him only RM 24x as compared to mine, RM 299.90 for Air Asia. Aww.. That was rather sad. MAS Airline international flight is so much super better than Air Asia.

Fine~

Altogether 13 of us (including me, the BILLIONAIR) were going to this conference. It was as if pastor is bring along his 12 dicisples going for a "war".. *ROAR!

Off we flew after saying goodbye to Kuala Lumpur.

What a boring clear blue sky outside the aeroplane. I slept throughout the journey~ It took about about 3 hours to reach Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia with population far much more than the Kuala Lumpur.

Photobucket

That's something a must do whenever landed onto a new land, take a photo. The time zone in Surabaya is +7:00, meaning that it is an hour  less than Kuala Lumpur time zone, +8:00

The sky gets dark at 5pm (our time) and sun rises at 5 in the morning (our time)..

Upon arriving, the bus has already come. He's our bus driver for 5 days in Surabaya, photo above. A very kind and helpful bus driver, I can tell.

The journey took about an hour from airport to our hotel, Garden Hotel which located in the city area. It was fortunately our hotel is located in the city. A chance for me to view how's Surabaya city is like..

All in all, I can tell is.. everywhere is traffic jam. The traffic jam is far worse than Kuala Lumpur because of the population here. Not to mention, Jakarta which is far far worse than this.

The word "Surabaya" is actually the combination of two words, the Sura and the Baya. In Indonesian language, Sura is Crocodile and Baya is the shark. Or the other way round, I can't remember.

The legend tells that .. Once upon a time there was a crocodile fighting with the shark. And that's how the name of "Surabaya" is existed.

Surabaya, in other word also known as the city of warrior.

The city is just right for me because I am the Proud-To-Be-Skinny-WARRIOR!

Our hotel, Garden Hotel is a 3-stars hotel. There's a shopping mall just about 10 minutes walk, Plaza Surabaya.

I'm staying together with David and Pastor in one room.

oh Ya, by the way..

I am quite impress with the way they pack the food. Unlike in Malaysia, they are so neat with the food pack in partition.

Photobucket

This is the way they pack the chicken rice. One partition for rice. One partition for chicken meat and "Char Siow" meat. One partition for sauce and so on and so for.

It can me different kind of food, like noodles. Still, it is pack neaty within partitions.

I went to Surabaya for a conference. ANd the conference is about..

Asia For Jesus.

I guess that is all about it. I'll to do more in the upcoming post. I am sick. I feel rather unwell`.. =(
