First, let's take a look how's A-ppy at the moment.. Then only I slowly write things out. ^ ^ She's laying inside her basket with her favorite cow-cow-dog-dog-pillow.

She has turned more n' more severe each day. She cannot even stand properly. She can still walk but.. falling here and there. Knocking here and there. At first we were clueless.. why is she knocking here and there. Only then we realized, which is the most serious at the moment, her eyes.
She is now BLIND.

However, we're still taking good care of her. Although we know how critical this time is. She can die anytime because this illness is super severe. According to vet, she is suffering from..
canine distemper

Of all illness, why this. This sickness kills animal! There is chance to get recover.. but that's only 10% of chance according to vet. Mostly, the dogs DIE. All the symptoms of this illness have now shown out.
The earliest symptom is.. she's going to sneeze a lot with running nose. And she tends to lay on one spot without any energy to even move.

Some more she's now BLIND. It's difficult for her to move. Fortunately, she can still response to our voices. When we happen to call her name..

She responded with her eyes open wide. That only applies sometimes. Most of the time, she is lazy to entertain anyone. Sometimes she can even bark at us. Her moods was not too good, perhaps.

Tears keep on discharging out from her eyes. According to vet, due to this.. that's why she has her vision blind. That's also one of the symptoms. And the most super duper final stage of the symptom is.. the virus attacks her brain and she cramp all over her body like someone having a stroke. By then, that's the time.. she dies.
Now we're putting her outside. No longer in the house. We're giving her a bigger area for her to walk or somehow exercise around. Inside the house, she tends to knock here n' there due to the limited area. And, of course, for the sake of hygienic.

sorry to hear about that... you remind me that the symptoms quite similar when my dog was having last time.. my dog was same bred as A-ppy. But A-ppy is more fortunate because you all, take good care of it.
btw, the bako national park is near the Sejinkat, very easy to go. But need to hire a boat if you want to go to HQ or other trails. Usually is about rm90 per 4 persons for return boat.
oh gosh... sorry Richard..to see A-ppy in this condition...suddenly i feel a pang of sadness.. i too have a dog, she is a labrador..just 8 months old but like a full grown dog already...
this is the first time i heard of this cos i don't know much about their sickness yet. Is she suffering much? if so, perhaps it is better to shorten her suffering? but then it is kind of sad to see her go.... how old is she?
