Learning 1: Sprinkler System

My learning no.1: the sprinkler system. This is to jot down things I learn. It may be brief.
1. Sprinkler system is one of mechanical services for fire protection.
2. Sprinkler system comes in single layer or double layers depending on the building design.
2.1 Whenever there is ceiling, a lower and upper or double layers sprinkler system applies.
2.2 If there's no ceiling, single layer or upper sprinkler system applies.
3. The typical design for sprinkler heads distance is 4m x 3m apart from each other.
3.1 The distance from the wall shall be 1.5m.
4. Sprinkler heads connect with the range pipe.
4.1 Range pipe branch out from the distribution pipe.
5. Range pipe size is determined by the number of sprinklers.
5.1 Distribution pipe size is determined from the number 18th sprinkler head and onwards.
5.2 Calculation need to be done for distribution pipe to determine its size.
6. Never to have pipes run through the rooms like EE, MDF, DATA.. as these rooms contains lots of electrical components/equipments.

I shall take a closer look at it when I confront the real things in real life.
