Korea

We were taxi all the way from airport to our first designated hotel, Incheon Tourist Hotel. The journey took about 30 minutes. By the way, Incheon was our first destination. We were not in Seoul yet.

We did a quick check in to our hotel and came out to hunt for food. It was 11pm plus and we seriously need food. Don't expect to have mamak over here. It was that late and to find food during that hour was rather difficult.

Worse still we could not find any 7-Elven or any other convenient shop around that area. One thing was that we are not familiar with the language and the place. Was rather coward to explore. Second thing was that it is very late already.

The only shop that open was the one behind us which located just opposite our Incheon Tourist hotel. It's a bbq styled restaurant. The boss welcomed us so warmly and we even took photo with her after we've done eating. We exchanged our home addresses and emails.

I am going to post her the photo above. I bet that's going to put a smile on her face.

The currency rate was at RM 1 = 340 won. Notice the price shown behind us. 9,900 won. As in each person 9,900 won. I am still clueless why that time the boss asked for 10,000 won. Anyway, basically one meal cost each one of us about RM 30.

Affordable? Judge yourself.

For your info, Korean does not offer such service. That is wrong. So don't expect people service you by bbq-ing your pork/beef when you're in Korea.

Perhaps it was because we were the last customers by then. We don't speak Korean but English. Glad she understands English and able to communicate with us in a strong Korean accent English. She viewed us as first time tourist in Korea and she taught us how to eat and prepare Korean food. That's why she offered to cook for us.

While she was cooking, she taught us what is what. As in which one to eat first. Proper way to eat. And so on and so for. Mentioning Korean food, everyone knows kimchi. Eat everything with kimchi and you're correct.

We had joy, love, tear and laughter. She likes us. And her sister likes us even MORE!

That's her sister. And did I mention she likes us MORE?

Our fist lesson of the night, how to eat.. Korean food. Marvelous! Know what. Korean food suits me better than Malaysia/Singapore food. It is healthier and more delicious!

One of the Korean's cultures is to drink that. You may notice Korean drinks alcohol very much especially the one above. That one cost 3000 won a bottle which is about RM10. To be frank, it tastes badly. Drink that to experience real Korea!

So a total of 53,000 won for a meal, RM 156. Please salute us!

Took a short walk down the street with our stomach so full and we called that a night.
